In October 2021, PLSE launched its Marijuana Amnesty Project in hopes to expunge as many marijuana-related convictions as possible through the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons’ Expedited Review Program for Non-Violent Marijuana-Specific Convictions. In partnership with the Philadelphia CannaBusiness Association, a nonprofit focused on addressing the harms caused by the war on drugs and cannabis prohibition, PLSE is organizing an expungement clinic to further their project’s goals.
Those who may qualify for an expungement are asked to fill out this pre-registration, then meet us at First Presbyterian Church to begin your intake and expungement process.

On September 15, New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) is hosting a Record Clearing & Sealing Clinic, free for income-eligible clients and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity to review their case for expungement or pardons. NKCDC will also be hosting a job fair with youth activities and light refreshments.
